Welcome to our new website!
Some updates are still in progress. Thanks for your patience!
Thank you for your interest in presenting a program at the Orillia Public Library. We welcome program proposals from the general public and community partners wishing to share their knowledge and skills. (If you are an Orillia Public Library cardholder who would like to suggest a topic for future programs, please use our online Suggestion Box.)
Program proposals must:• Support the mandate of the Library and its programming priorities • Comply with the Library’s policies • Be open and free of charge to the public • Be free of commercial advertising or direct solicitation • Scheduled during regular library hours
Please note that programs are planned up to six months in advance. Submitting a proposal does not guarantee that the program will be offered. You will only be contacted if the Library is interested in pursuing the program you have suggested. If we are unable to use your proposal at this time, we will add your information to our program files for future consideration. If your program proposal is accepted, the Orillia Public Library will produce appropriate publicity, such as press releases, posters (print and digital), and inclusion in the Library's enewsletter. You must ensure complete information is provided and publicity deadlines are met.
The Library reserves the right to request additional information, such as samples or references, to assist in evaluating this proposal.
